Town of Culture 2028 Workshops

Strabane has been shortlisted for Town of Culture 2028 and we want local people to be at the heart of shaping a bid that reflects the hopes of our community. You can find information on the bid here.

HOPE and resilience are at the heart of our vision for Strabane – and our ‘hope’ partner Resilio has organised workshops to provide practical tools and strategies to apply hope-building. These interactive two-hour sessions will combine research insights, reflective activities, group discussion and practical tools to explore what hope is, what the science tells us, and how we can activate hope for ourselves, our families and our community. See attached flyer for further details.

The sessions are open to anyone to attend – residents, community, cultural or sporting groups, schools, businesses.

We would love you to join us at one of the following sessions:

Friday 23 October | 10.00am–12.00 – Strabane Ethnic Community Association, Abercorn Square

Tuesday 27 October | 2.30pm–4.30pm – Strabane Library, Room 5

Tuesday 27 October | 7.15pm–9.15pm – Strabane Brass Band Space, off John Wesley Street (above Grass Roots)

RSVP: [email protected]  letting us know which session you would like to attend and advising of any dietary or accessibility requirements.  Please feel free to share the attached flyer with anyone who may be interested.
